PowaKaddy has further strengthened its position as the UK’s leading electric golf trolley brand, with the latest figures from golf industry research specialists Golf Datatech highlighting continued market share growth and category-leading performance across both on-course and off-course retail channels.
Year-to-date, PowaKaddy represents more than half (51.2%) of all electric golf trolley market value in the UK, continuing to build on its market-leading position and widening the gap to its nearest competitor. The brand’s dominance is even more pronounced in unit sales, where it now accounts for 53% of all electric golf trolleys sold, further increasing its share and reinforcing its status as the clear number one choice among UK golfers.
The brand’s strength is reflected across both key retail channels. In the off-course market, where consumer choice is at its greatest, PowaKaddy holds a 53.2% unit share, while on-course – where PowaKaddy is chosen by a significant number of PGA Professionals as its electric golf trolley of choice to sell – the brand commands a 52.7% unit share.
Commenting on the latest market performance, Graeme Wigham, Sales Director at PowaKaddy, said: “It’s extremely encouraging to see the electric trolley category continue to grow at such a healthy rate. We’re proud that more than half of all electric golf trolleys sold in the UK are PowaKaddy products, but we never take that position for granted.
“The numbers reflect the confidence golfers and retailers have in our brand. We remain focused on delivering outstanding product design, performance, reliability and quality, while supporting our retail partners with excellent product availability, profit margins and customer service. Ultimately, golfers are choosing products that enhance their experience on the course, and we’re delighted to see that reflected in the market.”
The latest figures suggest golfers are actively seeking out PowaKaddy products, with demand continuing to grow across the market. The company has also recorded its highest year-to-date shipment volumes outside of the exceptional post-COVID season of 2021.

A key driver behind this success has been the strength and breadth of the product range. The popular FX1 and CT6 models are the two best-selling electric golf trolleys in the UK market, together accounting for 28.5% of all electric golf trolley unit sales year-to-date. The FX3 ranks as the fourth best-selling model overall, while the company’s GPS-equipped products continue to offer an unmatched user experience right through the range.
Both the CT10 GPS and CT12 GPS feature among the UK’s top 10 best-selling electric golf trolleys by value, reflecting growing demand for advanced on-course technology and the brand’s popular Full Hole View functionality on an intuitive portrait screen.
With products spanning entry-level, ultra-compact, GPS and remote categories, PowaKaddy’s portfolio continues to appeal to golfers of all ages, abilities and budgets.
The specialist electric golf trolley category is enjoying a strong year, with year-to-date sales up 14.7% in value and 13.3% in units compared to the same period last year, underlining the sustained appetite among golfers for innovative, high-performance trolley solutions.
As the market continues to expand and golfers realise all of the benefits that an electric trolley can bring to their game, PowaKaddy remains committed to driving innovation across the category while providing retailers and golfers with the products, technology and support they expect from the UK’s leading electric trolley brand.

Booming rental market
The brand is also seeing significant momentum within the rental trolley sector, as golf venues increasingly invest in technology-led solutions to enhance the on-course experience.
“We have worked with the PowaKaddy brand for over 10 years now. It is vitally important to us that we offer our members and guests, services and products that are of the highest standard. The renewal of our PowaKaddy CT10 GPS rental fleet has done just that and has elevated the golf course experience immensely,” commented Daniel Flannery, Director of Golf at The Renaissance Club.
With clubs in the busiest period of the season, planning for future fleet investments begins now and demand for the PowaKaddy CT10 GPS rental trolley continues to grow. More golfers and venues are recognising the benefits of Full Hole View GPS technology, which delivers detailed course mapping and on-course information directly from the trolley handle, creating a more engaging and premium experience for both visitors and members alike.
The growing appeal of GPS-equipped rental fleets is reflected in the latest figures, with 35% more venues ordering rental trolleys from PowaKaddy year-to-date compared to the same period last year. Demand for GPS rental models has increased even faster, with orders for GPS-equipped rental trolleys up 34% year-on-year.
The trend highlights a growing desire among golf facilities to invest in technology that enhances the customer experience while generating additional revenue opportunities. As a result, an increasing number of venues are choosing GPS-enabled rental fleets as they look to differentiate their offering and meet evolving golfer expectations.
