Hole Scottie’s Masters putts in Manchester this week!

2.28pm 9th April 2025 - Retail

Zen is running a unique trade activation near Manchester this week in American Golf’s Trafford Centre store, in the form of a mini-version of the Masters Tournament.

Scottie Scheffler’s busy in Augusta but right through the first Major of the 2025 season, starting on Masters Thursday, golfers are being invited to at least try and putt like him, on the world’s most advanced indoor green – a Zen Green Stage.

On the full-size Zen in their Trafford Centre store, American Golf staff members have authentically recreated seven of Scottie’s putts from his winning round in the 2024 Masters, as part of a free-to-enter tournament.

That’s seven lightning-fast, challenging, breaking putts with the flavour of Augusta National, including uphill, downhill and sidehill putts – and even a double-break.

Slopes, breaks, speed … the remarkable Zen Green Stage is the closest you can get to a Masters Tournament putting experience, if you’re not quite good enough to get an in invite to the real thing.

“The intention is to attract more people to the American Golf retail environment, and also to get them talking about it to their friends during the week” said Zen’s Andy Hiseman. “We are proud to partner with American Golf in creating this one-of-a-kind experience.”

Many golfers playing the 2025 Masters Tournament this week either have a Zen Green Stage at home, or practice on one. World #1 putting coach Phil Kenyon, who works with Scottie Scheffler, has multiple Zens in facilities on both sides of The Atlantic.

Everybody is welcome at American Golf Trafford Centre this week to try the Masters Putting Challenge featuring Scottie Scheffler, from PGA Pros to club golfers and players who have only ever hit balls down at the range.

Scottie himself only holed three of the seven on his way to victory last year – so will Manchester’s finest some of the putts which he missed?

It’s the ideal family-friendly event, especially if families have children are on school holidays.

All people have to do is step onto the Zen Green Stage and attempt three randomly-given putts – and there’s a £300 voucher given to the person who makes the best score during the week.

The tournament, which is open to all ages, takes place in the store from Thursday to Sunday, between 8.30am -10.30pm (Thurs-Fri) and 7am – 10.30pm (Sat-Sun). No prior booking needed.

American Golf staff are inviting people to just turn up and play, or to call the store on 0161 749 7000 to enquire.
