10.14am 18th August 2023 - Retail

Galvin Green has appointed experienced corporate executive Per Ågren to a new position as its Global Sales Director in a move designed to strengthen worldwide sales growth of its long-lasting and sustainably sourced garments for serious golfers.

Ågren, who originates from Malmö and has previous golf industry sales experience with both Ecco and Achushnet, has assumed responsibility for driving wholesale business for Galvin Green in its main markets of North America, Europe and the Nordics. He will also look to develop new business for the brand across other parts of the world, including Asia, while based at the Galvin Green headquarters in Växjö, southern Sweden – described as ‘The Greenest City in Europe’.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Galvin Green at a time when it’s clearly well placed to benefit from long-term investment in sustainability and sourcing advanced fabrics from environmentally sound suppliers around the world,” said Per, who has spent more than 25 years commercialising brands and enhancing trade relations with an entrepreneurial approach.

“I have tremendous respect for the company and love the fact that it prides itself on adopting a ‘Never Compromise’ approach to everything it undertakes across the business.    I also have a genuine passion for the products and can’t wait to put wholesale trade measures in place that will boost its growth further worldwide,” he added.

Commenting on the appointment, CEO Nicholai Stein said: “It’s an exciting time for Per to be joining us and he’s adding great commercial experience to our senior management team. I’m sure he will help us manage growth in markets where Galvin Green shirts and shorts are as popular as the award-winning outerwear and mid-layer garments that established our reputation among golfers looking for top performance and protection from the elements, as well as standout styling, size and colour options.”

Galvin Green offers male, female and junior golfers the greatest depth of choice on the market in terms of garments made with minimal environmental and social impact, using responsibly sourced and independently approved fabrics across most of its collection.
