Two London golf courses for sale

HLL Humberts Leisure has been appointed by the London Borough of Harrow to sell the freehold reversionary interests in Pinner Hill Golf Course and Stanmore Golf Course. Offers are invited for the properties by 12 noon on Wednesday 24th October 2007.

Pinner Hill Golf Course, Pinner Hill, Middlesex HA5 3YA comprises an 18 hole JH Taylor designed 6,393 yard (par 71) parkland golf course (established in 1928), mansion clubhouse, golf shop, practice facilities, greenkeeping buildings/outbuildings and Gillan Cottage.

The property is let to Pinner Hill Golf Club under the terms of a 30 year lease granted on 6th March 2001, which pays a rent of £110,000 p.a. with five yearly reviews.

Stanmore Golf Course, Gordon Avenue, Stanmore, Middlesex HA7 2RL comprises an 18 hole 5,885 yard (par 68) parkland golf course (established in 1893), clubhouse, practice facilities and greenkeepers building.

The property is let to Stanmore Golf Club under the terms of a 50 year lease granted on 17th May 2001, which pays an annual rent of 20% of turnover (equating to c. £98,000 p.a.)

The sales are being handled by Ben Allen and Paul Barnes at HLL Humberts Leisure. Ben Allen said, “This disposal represents a rare opportunity to acquire the freehold interest in two of north west London’s long established private members golf clubs. Each property has a fine pedigree and the ownership of these assets will provide the new owner with great kudos. We expect strong interest in these two assets.”
