Strutt & Parker’s Leisure and Hotels Department has sold Porthpean Golf Club and Driving Range following an off-market transaction.

With a stunning cliff top location overlooking St Austell Bay this popular 18 hole, 5,474 yard, Par 68 has a smart easily run clubhouse, a 9 bay floodlit driving range and planning consent for 8 letting bedrooms.

On behalf of Strutt & Parker Chris Gooch comments, “Despite the effects of the credit crunch we continue to see buyers register with us and it is clear that proprietary golf clubs with good trading histories such as Porthpean continue to attract the strongest interest.”

Mr and Mrs Craig Harrison, the new owners, have exciting plans for the future commenting, “We have received a really warm welcome and are looking forward to working with members and staff at Porthpean to build upon its excellent reputation as a friendly and welcoming club.”
