Tracy Park was brought to market by HMH Golf & Leisure in May with a guide price of £12m.
Tom Marriott at HMH Golf & Leisure comments: “We went to the open market at the end of May. A local entrepreneur emerged as the preferred buyer. Terms were agreed and the sale completed at the end of September.
“The business which included 36 holes and a hotel/wedding venue set in 220 acres of freehold rolling countryside has been closed down and the new owner is looking at different uses for the site.
“The market continues to surprise us with the variety of buyer and the subsequent alternative uses for some of our sales.”
Ben Allen at HMH Golf & Leisure said: “Tracy Park is the ninth golf related business we’ve sold so far this year and our third golf hotel. With two municipal golf courses also under offer and due to complete shortly, 2024 is proving to be a good year for our market. We expect to announce further sales in the coming weeks.”
