The PGA continues to strengthen its portfolio of Branded Properties in Europe with the announcement of a new PGA National in Croatia.

Located near Savudrija, in the Umag countryside of north-western Istria, Golf Adriatic becomes the latest facility in Europe to be unveiled as a PGA National venue.

Golf Adriatic boasts a challenging 6,955-yard, par 72 course designed by Diethard Fahrenleitner and Barbara Eisserer, recipients of the prestigious Austrian Golf Art Landscape Award. The course provides a challenging layout using the natural terrain to create a memorable golfing experience, and is led by Golf Course Manager and PGA Member Dean Dužaić.

As a PGA National, Golf Adriatic reflects outstanding qualities both as a golf course and overall resort. The venue includes the luxurious five-star Kempinski Hotel Adriatic, a private beach, and the new Petram Resort, providing golfers with an unparalleled golfing escape in Croatia.

Željko Stašević, General Manager, said: “We are thrilled and honoured to have Golf Adriatic become the PGA National Croatia, representing the highest standards in golfing excellence. This achievement is a testament to our commitment to providing exceptional golf experiences for our guests and we look forward to continuing to elevate our offerings with the support of The PGA.”

The PGA National brand is exclusive to one resort per country, with each venue offering the very best in golf, leisure and accommodation.

Golf Adriatic joins an illustrious group of other PGA Nationals which includes Ryder Cup venues The Belfry (PGA National England) and Gleneagles (PGA National Scotland). Other PGA Nationals can be found in Cyprus at Aphrodite Hills, which plays host to DP World Tour events, and Greece, with Kilada Country Club, Golf & Residences becoming the latest venue to join the world class group in 2021.

Richard Barker PGA Executive Director for Business Development of The PGA, added: “We are thrilled to add PGA National Croatia to our exclusive band of world-class PGA National Branded Properties. Golf Adriatic has firmly established itself as the focal point of the overall Skiper Resort, and we look forward to promoting the venue to PGA Members throughout the world.”

As part of the agreement, PGA Members are encouraged to consider visiting the new PGA National Croatia all year round through a selection of exclusive packages and offers to cater to their golfing aspirations.
