Fernfell sells to private buyer

Fernfell Golf and Country Club has sold to a private buyer for in the region of the £2.2 - £2.25 million guide. Selling agents FPDSavills believe that there remains a shortage of quality golf and leisure facilities on the open market

Fernfell Golf and Country Club, situated close to Cranleigh in Surrey, has sold to a private buyer for a price in the region of the £2.2 – £2.25 million guide, reported FPDSavills earlier today.

The 18 hole golf club, which was launched on to the open market in April, attracted significant interest from a range of golf operators and private buyers. The new owner plans to improve the extensive clubhouse and health and fitness facilities for the Club’s 1,500 members.

“We are delighted to have concluded the sale of Fernfell Golf and Country Club within the space of just three months,” said Nick Sweeney of FPDSavills. “There remains a shortage of quality golf and leisure facilities on the open market and the health and fitness element at Fernfell was of particular interest to prospective purchasers.”
