Chart Hills Golf complex is for sale

8.00am 25th March 1999 - Property - This story was updated on Thursday, June 17th, 2010

Chart Hills golf complex has been “discreetly put up for sale” according to the London based golf course brokers, Chesterton HMH. The guide price is £5-6 million.

Chart Hills, which is Nick Faldo’s first European design, is situated on the A274 4 miles to the south of Headcorn in Kent. “Golf World” voted it “Best new course in England” in 1997. The property extends to 205 acres in all and includes a 26,000 sq ft club house, a golf academy and purpose built greenkeepers compound.

The reasoning behind the sale is that the complex is a non-core business for the current owners who wish to sell it to enable the complex to progress under new management.
