Parque da Floresta Golf & Leisure Resort, the flagship resort for the Vigia Group, picked up the coveted award for Best Four Star Development in Portugal at the annual International Property Awards, held in London on Friday 14th September.

This is the Vigia Group’s tenth international property award in seven years. Ewa Petersson, sales director for Vigia said, “Buying a property abroad is said to be probably one of the most significant personal expenses anyone can make during their lifetime. At Vigia we understand that it’s increasingly difficult for the discerning purchaser to know exactly where to start searching.

“Many are looking for some kind of certification of quality, value and commitment. The simple fact that Parque da Floresta has won several years in a row, proves that it is certainly a resort worthy of this accolade and enables the Vigia Group to stand out in an increasingly competitive market place.”

Parque da Floresta Golf and Leisure Resort lies in the heart of the western Algarve, bordered by the Costa Vincentia Nature Reserve. The resort is centred around an 18 hole, par 71 golf course designed by Pepe Gancedo, one of Spain’s most famous architects, whose philosophy of golf course construction involves minimal alteration to the existing terrain.

The course is surrounded by a gradually expanding selection of villas and village houses. Residents and guests have access to the wide range of facilities including a first class health and beauty spa, various pools, tennis courts, bowling green and numerous bars and restaurants.

The Vigia Group is a privately owned European consortium that has been operating in the western Algarve for more than fifteen years. Seven luxury golf and beach resorts in the western Algarve and a further golf development in the Alentejo, makes the company the leading developer of high quality properties within leisure resort settings in the area.
