The international property sales and marketing specialist Grosvenor Overseas Ltd of Cheltenham has been appointed as the first agent in the UK and Republic of Ireland to sell luxurious new homes at The Cliffs, a world-class golf resort comprising eight master-planned residential communities in the American state of North Carolina.
The communities the developer has created on the southernmost tip of the Blue Ridge Mountains occupy lush forest locations beside lakes and around signature golf courses.
The newest one will be the first in America to be designed by Tiger Woods. It is only the second in the world to carry the signature of Tiger who describes the high mountain meadows earmarked for the golf course, with panoramic views for 50 miles, as “a perfect fit for my first American design.”
He said: “I chose The Cliffs because of the great people and the amazing location.”
Already completed at The Cliffs are other golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus, Tom Fazio, Gary Player, Ben Wright and Tom Jackson.
The Cliffs is located between Asheville, North Carolina and Greenville, South Carolina – an area of scenic beauty with a temperate climate. It includes 14 state parks, three national forests and one national park.
The nearest international airport is at Atlanta, two hours away by car. Flight time is around eight hours from the UK and seven hours from Dublin.
With the emphasis on relaxation and recreation within the family-friendly Cliffs communities, property owners have private access to wellness centres as well as miles of hiking and mountain-biking trails, fishing and kayaking on tranquil lakes, and horse-riding through forests.
Facilities include marinas, restaurants and clubhouses. The developer has already completed club amenities in all eight communities at a cost of US$100 million. Membership of one club gives access to all the others.
Grosvenor Overseas will be selling properties ranging from townhouses to custom-designed detached homes. Prices start at around US$700,000, rising to more than US$5 million.
