Power Tee partnership drives Trafford Golf Centre’s major range upgrade

Manchester venue installs 46 new Power Tee units with expansion to 77 bays planned by October.

Power Tee has announced a major expansion with Trafford Golf Centre following the venue’s highly anticipated reopening after an extensive refurbishment project.

As part of the redevelopment, Trafford Golf Centre has installed 46 Power Tee automated golf ball teeing systems, with a further 31 Power Tee units scheduled for installation in October. Once complete, the facility will feature a total of 77 Power Tee bays, making it one of the largest and most advanced Power Tee installations in the United Kingdom.

The reopening of Trafford Golf Centre on April 18 marked the first phase of a significant investment into one of the UK’s busiest golf and leisure destinations. The upgraded venue now offers visitors a completely refreshed driving range experience designed to elevate comfort, convenience and entertainment for golfers of all abilities.

Power Tee UK Managing Director Tony Eccleston. said: “Trafford Golf Centre has long been recognised as one of the leading golf facilities in the UK, so we are incredibly proud to expand our partnership with them as part of this exciting redevelopment.

“The upgrading of Power Tee units demonstrates Trafford’s commitment to investing in innovation and creating an exceptional experience for golfers. Power Tee helps facilities improve customer comfort, increase repeat visits and modernise the range experience, and Trafford Golf Centre is a fantastic example of that vision coming to life.”

The Trafford Golf Centre will feature a total of 77 bays with Power Tees by October, with 46 bays with the automatic teeing technology already ready to play

The newly refurbished range includes 50 redesigned heated bays featuring Power Tee’s auto-tee technology, upgraded seating and premium golf balls. Visitors can also enjoy a redesigned outfield with eight target greens, additional left-handed and dual bays, enhanced lighting and sound systems, extended opening hours and new hospitality features including self-serve bay beer stations and draught Guinness delivered directly to bays.

The addition of Power Tee technology plays a central role in Trafford Golf Centre’s vision to create a premium, high-volume practice and entertainment venue capable of delivering a modern golf experience for every visitor.

Pete Styles, Director of Golf at Trafford Golf Centre, explained, “Trafford Golf has seen huge demand over the last few years, so this next phase is about improving the experience for the people who use the range day in, day out. Power Tee is a huge part of delivering that elevated experience for our visitors, and we’re excited to continue expanding the installation later this year.”

The reopening also marks a continued investment in The Academy, the UK’s largest golf coaching facility, alongside a new website and additional improvements planned later this year, including premium lounge bays and EV charging stations.

Located adjacent to the Trafford Centre, Trafford Golf Centre is widely regarded as one of the North of England’s premier golf destinations, combining golf, leisure and hospitality attractions including Dino Falls Adventure Golf and American Golf’s flagship retail store.
