Wilson Golf has recently appointed two Area Sales Managers to further strengthen its position in the market place across the UK & Ireland, following the appointment of Lee Farrar as Senior Sales Manager last month.
James Soulsby and Mark O’Neill are set to begin new roles this month and complete the full complement of team members ready to visit every customer in the near future.
James, a 3-handicap golfer based in Hampshire, was Area Sales Manager for the South West and South East of England at adidas & Ashworth Golf (2011 – 2015), working his way up from Customer Service Representative at TaylorMade Golf (2007-2009) and Direct Sales Executive at adidas & Ashworth Golf (2009-2011). He will take on responsibilities for sales of Wilson Staff products across the South West of England and South Wales.
“It’s great to be back working within the golf industry which I know so well,” said James. “Wilson Golf is such an historic brand and I’m looking forward to renewing relationships and building new ones as the future of Wilson Golf looks very bright,” he added.
Another 3-handicap golfer, Mark will assume his new role for Wilson Golf in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland following his time at PING Europe (2013-2016) as a Product Specialist. Previous roles include five years in retail at McGuirks Golf Centre in County Dublin and two years at American Golf (2006-2008).
“I’m proud to be part of the team responsible for the continued growth of the
Wilson Staff brand in the market place,” said Mark. “I’ve built up strong relationships over the years I’ve worked in the golf industry and look forward to carrying that on with Wilson Golf,” he added.
They join agent Jonathan Gallagher (North West), plus other Area Sales Managers Leigh Fletcher (South East England & East Anglia), Drew Parsons (Scotland & North England) and Stuart Alford (Midlands & North East England) to complete the Wilson Golf Sales team across the UK & Ireland.
“Wilson Golf has a long standing history of bringing highly technical, innovative products to the market place, as well as quality recreational equipment for those starting out in the game,” said Lee.
“I am delighted to have my new team in place and to be able to service our accounts in UK & Ireland to the high standard that Wilson Golf expects to deliver. James and Mark bring a great deal of knowledge to their territories and have built a reputation through hard work, determination and customer focus and I am delighted to welcome them to the Wilson Golf team,” he added.
Under Wilson Staff branding, Wilson Golf supplies clubs, balls, bags, accessories, luggage, package sets and apparel, backed up by the UK warehouse based in Irvine, where balls can be logoed, clothing embroidered and customised clubs fitted all under the same roof in short lead times.
