Ken Kosak, General Manager at the recently refurbished Abu Dhabi Golf Club, one of Golf World’s Top 100 Golf Courses, has been announced as “General Manager of the Year” by Troon Golf®, the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing.
As one of Troon Golf’s flagship venues, the course underwent significant lengthening and bunkering in the build-up to this year’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, and received critical acclaim from the world’s greatest players as they battled it out for the famous Falcon Trophy.

Having been based in Abu Dhabi since July 2009, Kosak has developed a strong affinity to the region and the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championships, establishing it as one of the most eagerly anticipated tournaments of the golfing season.
Renowned for its marvellous relationship with both fans and players, the tournament welcomed its strongest-ever field in 2011 with all four major winners, Phil Mickelson, Graeme McDowell, Louis Oosthuizen and Martin Kaymer, plus world #1 Lee Westwood taking to an upgraded course that celebrated its 10th operational year in 2010. Kosak, a Pinehurst, North Carolina native, has been with Troon Golf for several years, having previously held similar roles at high-profile venues including Pearl Valley Golf Estate, South Africa and The Montgomerie, Dubai. During his time at The Montgomerie, the venue was named “Troon Golf Facility of the Year”.
