London’s Country Estate and one of Europe’s finest golfing destinations, The Grove is delighted to announce that it has been chosen by Dave Pelz to be the new UK home of his immensely-popular Scoring Game Schools. Regarded as one of the world’s finest coaches, Pelz has guided his most famous student, Phil Mickelson and other professional pupils to 19 Major Championships. Founded in 1982, his namesake golf school and clinics have gone from strength-to-strength ever-since, as both amateurs and professional seek the wisdom and teachings of a true legend of the short-game.

Conveniently located by the M25 and a mere 30 minutes’ drive from Heathrow and just 17 minutes from London Euston, The Grove golf course was designed by revered architect, Kyle Phillips and has quickly gained a reputation for being in immaculate championship condition all year round. These factors along with some of the best putting surfaces in the game proved to be the key elements in Pelz and his team’s decision to select the former host of the WGC American Express Championship as their new UK base.

“To have such a renowned and well-respected coach as Dave Pelz select us to be UK home of his Scoring Game Schools is a real honour and testament to the hard work and dedication of our team,” commented Anna Darnell, The Grove’s Director of Golf. “We look forward to welcoming all participants to The Grove and I have no doubt they will have a fantastic experience under the tutelage of some of the most knowledgeable coaches in the game.”

Dave Pelz has dedicated the past 35 years to studying the game, revealing better ways for golfers to practice and play, and coaching some of the best players in the world on their short game and putting. His golf schools have won critical acclaim and bring Pelz’s proven golf instruction to players of every skill level.

“One of the deciding factors for me when we decided to open a school in England was undoubtedly The Grove’s magnificent conditioning, which is essential when it comes to nurturing the short-game technique,” noted Pelz. “Having heard so much about The Grove’s reputation for excellence and having seen Tiger win a World Golf Championship event there back in 2006 I had always pinpointed it as a potential venue for my Scoring Game Schools.”

The Grove will be hosting both one-day Scoring Game Clinics and a more comprehensive three-day Scoring Game School. The latter is a premier Dave Pelz-designed golf instruction experience. Incorporating video, feedback devices and the latest Pelz research, these innovative golf schools are designed to help golfers play all the shots on and around the green with confidence and consistency. Much more than a simple “golf lesson”, these three-day golf schools are the most effective and permanent way to lower your handicap.

One Day Scoring Game Clinics cost £250 and will be held on 18th and 19th August. A more comprehensive Three Day Scoring Game School costs £1500 and takes place from 21st – 23rd September or  5th – 7th October. Both can be booked by visiting www.pelzgolf.comor calling +353 1 689 3030.
