The ‘England Experience’…a golfer’s dream

12.08am 29th December 2008 - People

The English Golf Union (EGU) is offering a unique opportunity for golfers to experience the coaching programme offered to England’s top amateur players.

The England Experience is a once in a lifetime opportunity for 12 golfers to spend three days with the England coaches at the National Golf Centre, Woodhall Spa and play Britain’s top inland course, The Hotchkin.

The experience includes behind the scenes coaching of what goes into training a top amateur and in turn professional players, including short game and swing technique, psychology and conditioning.

The outstanding coaching team comprises of four top England coaches, Gary Smith, David Ridley, both ‘Golf Monthly’ Top 25 UK Coaches, Dr. Brian Hemmings and Andy Larmour, all of whom have worked with and taken players such as Richard Finch, Ollie Fisher, Ross McGowan, Chris Wood, Ross Fisher, Dave Horsey and many more onto success on the professional circuits.

Gary Smith, lead coach of the England Squad commented, “This is such a unique opportunity to experience exactly what England’s top amateurs experience and have access to the coaching and knowledge only usually available to those at the top of their sport. Most players turn professional after following the EGU’s England programme; we can‘t guarantee that result but we can guarantee the same guidance already provided to names such as Oliver Fisher, Chris Wood and Richard Finch.”

The exclusive training will cover all aspects of the game and each individual golfer will be personally guided as to how they can improve their overall performance. The EGU has never before offered the chance for any golfer to experience the same professional expertise as the England Teams.
