PGA Professional, Craig Trower has worked in a golf operations role at The Wisley for six years and will now be utilising his knowledge of the club and golfing abilities in a new role taking responsibility for Membership and Marketing.

Craig will continue to encourage the Club’s successful referral culture, organise and participate in “playing in” prospective new members, and will coordinate its membership communication which has seen a waiting list to join, with all 700 shares sold.

We are also delighted to announce that Jill de Villiers will be joining the team to help promote the unique characteristics of The Wisley and helping Craig ensure that should Share Holder Memberships or rentals become available, there is a qualified pool from which new members can be cultivated.

Jill de Villiers is a good golfer and a popular industry character with current brand ambassadorial roles and attending many events on behalf of The Renaissance Club, Ralph Lauren and YSL. Jill also spent four years with Your Golf Travel as Head of Business Development, regularly hosting top clients and with great relationships in the City.

Chief Executive, Wayne Sheffield commented: ‘It is so important for The Wisley to attract, hire and keep great people and we place the highest premium on senior hires to help us maintain our position amongst the world’s leading private Member clubs.  Both Jill and Craig have a real passion and knowledge of the game of golf and along with their great personalities will be huge assets to the club’.
