Mike Corry, the General Manager of Shannon Golf & Country Club

Sunice is delighted to congratulate Mike Corry, the General Manager of Shannon Golf & Country Club in Ireland, who recently trekked to Everest Base Camp.

The fundraising group of 11 people was led by famous Irish explorer, Pat Falvey.

Sunice first went to Mount Everest in 1982 and since then Sunice outerwear has been the choice of many expeditions.

The team flew out from Dublin Airport on Monday 15th October arriving on Wednesday 17th to start an 8 day trek to E.B.C (Everest Basecamp).

The group would walk for approximately 10 hours each day in temperatures as low as -7 to -12, with added wind-chill!

Layering was the key to staying warm. Mike would wear a Base Layer, Mid Layer, Fleece, Down Jacket and his trusty Sunice Ultimate V4 GORE-TEX® Jacket.

Three charities (Cahercalla Hospice, The Laura Lynn Foundation and The Nepal Foundation) will benefit from the approx €25,000 raised from their efforts, showing that even in difficult times people’s generosity is remarkable.
