Stuart Wilson, PGA Professional at The Eastwood Golf Club, Scotland, has been presented with the award of ‘Professional of the Year’. The award is held in the highest esteem amongst the group and the industry as Stuart was selected for the award amongst a thousand PGA Professionals.
Stuart was presented with the prestigious award at the Annual Foremost Gala Dinner. The award for Professional of the year is determined on a continual rating scale, implemented through the Foremost Membership Services Team. It is therefore essential for the chosen Professional to perform consistently throughout the year, on a number of set criteria.
“The key criteria we look for when selecting the ‘Professional of the Year’ is the level of involvement, contribution and initiative the Professional shows towards the group, in building his business and in growing the game of golf at the green grass level,” commented Clint Anderson, Head of Membership Services.

Hedges added, “Stuart truly understands the need to create increased activity at the club and the benefit this had for the club, his retail and his lesson sales. Stuart has successfully run a number of fashion events, short game clinics and an incredibly successful Pro-Day event. He has also launched an indoor fitting studio to raise his level of customer service and delivery throughout the year. These initiatives and his personal drive have kept Stuart above the recession and allowed him to achieve a second year of positive business growth.”
