St Andrews Links Trust Announce New Commercial Director

St Andrews Links Trust is delighted to welcome James Ralley (pictured) as the new Commercial Director at the Home of Golf.

James joins the Links with exceptional experience and commercial expertise within the sports industry having worked extensively with prestigious clubs and federations like the All-England Lawn Tennis Club, the Football Association, and World Rugby. He will be responsible for overseeing branding, partnerships, licensing and sales at the Home of Golf.

Speaking on his arrival James said: “This is an incredibly exciting time to be joining the Links with the level of ambition and the organisation’s commitment to building a valuable, engaged audience around the world.

“I’m very much looking forward to working with the team and excited at the opportunity to support the continued development of St Andrews as one of the most recognisable and iconic sporting venues in the world.”

St Andrews Links Trust Chief Executive Neil Coulson said: “James has exceptional credentials and experience in commercial sport and I am delighted he has joined our team.

“We have ambitious plans for the future including expanding our commercial activities and reinvesting into our world-famous Links, to enhance the experience we deliver and raise awareness of St Andrews Links globally.”

St Andrews Links Trust is responsible for the management and maintenance of the seven Links courses at St Andrews, including the world-famous Old Course, host of The Open Championship a record 30 times.

St Andrews Links Trust manages a number of additional facilities including three clubhouses, a golf academy and four retail stores. More than 250,000 rounds are played over the seven courses attracting visitors from around the world to follow in the footsteps of the world’s greatest golfers and become a part of golf’s rich history.
