11.00am 6th June 2000 - People

Liz Monaghan has been appointed as public relations manager to the Scottish Golf Union and the Scottish National Golf Centre. Liz takes up the post following five years as a senior news reporter with Scottish Television as well as previous experience in print and radio media. She will be in charge of all press and media enquiries for both the SGU and SNGC, based at the SGU head office at Drumoig near St Andrews.

Liz will also take an active role in both the Scottish Golf paper and championships although the long standing association of both Martin Dempster and Stuart McDougall with the SGU will continue, albeit in modified form from 2001.
