ProQuip, the world’s leading innovator of lightweight golf weatherwear, has appointed Paul McCabe as its new sales agent in Southern Ireland.

McCabe will cover all 26 counties in Southern Ireland from his base in Dublin and aims to grow sales of weatherwear, water repellent knitwear and club crested apparel into green grass golf retailers, golf retail buying groups and off-course outlets including Nevada Bob’s.

McCabe has 20 years’ experience in sales, including 12 in the golf industry working with accessories and equipment brand Masters Golf.

During that time McCabe has grown sales of Masters products ten-fold and helped it become Ireland’s best-selling golf accessory company.

Russell Brooks, general manager of ProQuip Golf, said: “Paul is a great addition to ProQuip’s sales force and we are excited to welcome his expertise, contacts and sales network into the business.

Ireland is traditionally a strong territory for ProQuip sales and we look forward to developing new accounts and raising awareness of our new 2013 collection which is the most complete performance clothing system our designers have ever brought to market.”

ProQuip’s 2013 Collection features its trademark ultra-lightweight and virtually silent waterproofs, new performance fabric polo shirts, moisture wicking base layers, wind tops, and, new Intarsia styles and contemporary colour ways in its market leading water repellent knitwear range.

Paul McCabe, said: “I’m excited to be working with ProQuip. They are an established and trusted weatherwear brand and have supplied more Ryder Cup Teams – European and American – than any other golf clothing company, which is some seal of approval.

Although the Irish economy is still struggling, ProQuip’s product range is well positioned to succeed as it combines exclusively developed fabric technologies and technical excellence with an affordable price point.”
