David Withers has been promoted to the position of Director, Sales and Customer Support, with immediate effect. He will take responsibility for Textron turf sales and distribution throughout the world, excluding North America, focusing on the market leading Ransomes and Jacobsen brands.
In addition to responsibility for turfcare sales, David will also be appointing a new Customer Support Manager. It will be a cross-functional role with a commercial rather than technical emphasis and very strongly committed to customer satisfaction. A new UK Sales Manager will also be appointed to give extra focus on the important domestic market.
“Customer satisfaction will be the key element in my responsibilities as I help to drive the business forward,” says Withers. “I am determined to ensure that we provide consistently excellent, professional standards in every one of our markets throughout the world. David joined the Jacobsen organisation as a regional sales manager for the south of England in 1992, following three years with Charterhouse Turf Machinery. In 1995 he became national accounts manager for Jacobsen followed by the positions of UK sales manager and international sales manager for the new Textron turfcare group.
