James Shaw, a PR professional with a sports journalism background, has joined Sports Impact, the leading sports marketing agency based in Kingston-upon-Thames.
Before joining the agency, James was acting as a publicist for high-profile celebrities and sportsmen, handling international media relations and social media communications.
He will now be involved in enhancing brand and product profiles for established and new agency clients, with a special focus on the national mainstream media.
James, 24, holds a BA (Hons) in Sports Journalism from the University of Brighton. He also has extensive experience in event management at the F1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone over the past four years, plus active sporting credentials as a semi-professional player and coach in Non-League football.
“We see James as a great addition to our team,” said CEO John Collard. “He has the relevant skill set and enthusiasm to help us raise the bar even further in terms of delivering quality content and media exposure for our clients,” he added.
“I’m really excited to be joining Sports Impact and look forward to making the most of an opportunity with such a highly-regarded agency in the sporting world,” said James.
