Paultons signs new pro

4.22pm 5th March 2020 - People

Paultons Golf Centre in Hampshire has announced the appointment of David Meaney as the club’s new PGA Head Professional with immediate effect.

Meaney brings with him a wealth of coaching and club fitting expertise, having previously worked at TaylorMade’s European flagship fitting centre, the Cranfield Golf Academy, Golf Club Lauterhofen in Germany and most recently at TopGolf.

Commenting on his appointment, Meaney said: “I’m excited to join the team at Paultons GC and look forward to working alongside them to enhance all areas of the club and continue all the great work that has already been achieved since our owners, Stellar Asset Management acquired the club back in August 2019.”

“I’m also looking forward to implementing a number of improvements across our coaching and custom fitting services as well as encouraging more juniors and families to the club with some exciting new events and of course our golf academies.”

Meaney joins the 27-hole club at a very exciting time, with owners Stellar Asset Management continuing to drive investment across all areas of the property to turn it into one of the foremost golf and leisure facilities in the South of England. Following the installation of pioneering Toptracer ball tracking technology in September last year, the clubhouse is now undergoing a complete renovation that will bring a whole new look and feel to the club.

Commenting on behalf of the club’s owners, Stellar Asset Management in partnership with Ben Blackburn Golf, the club’s General Manager, Joanne Tomey, said: “David was the standout candidate to fill this position. His track record is second to none and on behalf of the whole team and our members we look forward to benefiting from his expertise and developing our golf tuition and custom fitting offering at the club.”
