Braemar Golf announce a number of new roles, new recruits and returning team members to some of their projects around the world.

Braemar are delighted to welcome back William Dow to the Head Golf Professional role at the stunning Pravets Golf & Spa in Bulgaria. William, who previously held the role from 2009 to 2012, replaces Jonathan Shipstone who heads off to Saudi Arabia for a new and exciting challenge.

Alan Rogut, Braemar’s Director of Golf at Pravets commented, “We are delighted to have William back at Pravets and he will fit back into the team seamlessly. We wish Jonathan all the best in his new adventure and we know William will work hard to carry on all the great work done by Jonathan in the last 18 months. Last year was our most successful year to date and it has carried on into 2014 and undoubtedly the work done by the academy team to grow the game is a contributing factor.”

Other PGA Professionals working with Braemar on projects are Dave Taylor and Jade Lucas, who are based at Zavidovo PGA National Russia, just outside Moscow. They joined the team in May at the start of the golfing season in Russia and continue the vital golf development, instruction and operations that Braemar have implemented since it’s opening in 2012.

Moving roles in Russia is Nick Solski, who has transferred from Zavidovo PGA National Russia to the highly anticipated Skolkovo Golf Club, which is the nearest 18 hole golf course to the centre of Moscow, just 25 minutes from Red Square and the Kremlin.

The Jack Nicklaus design course opened in May and is proving very popular to the golfing market in Moscow, not only for the quality of the course but as a genuine 7 day per week club due to its location and accessibility. Nick is busy delivering tuitions, assisting with the golf operations and developing the game in this growing golf market.

Finally, Braemar would like to congratulate Ismail Mallouky on his appointment as “Club Manager” at Casa Green Golf Club in Casablanca, Morocco. Ismail has been the Head Golf Professional and Director of Golf from prior to the club opening in 2013 and demonstrated his passion and commitment which impressed the owners enough to be appointed to the role.

Keith Haslam, Managing Director of Braemar Golf stated, “I am delighted for Ismail and we look forward in supporting and working with him to take on this new challenge in his career. The owners have a policy of trying to work with Moroccan Nationals where possible and as the only Moroccan USPGA qualified Golf Professional and with great international experience, it is an excellent fit. We are sure Ismail will be a significant factor in developing the success of Casa Green Golf Club.

Braemar Golf is a leading golf management, construction and advisory firm with its head quarters at the home of golf in St Andrews. They currently have projects in Portugal, Russia, Bulgaria, Morocco, Montenegro, Gabon and the UK.
