Multi-Course Owners Discuss Future of Europe Golf

The second gathering of the European Multi-Course Owners was preceded the 5th annual EGCOA Conference.

The European Golf Business Conference began with the second gathering of the European Multi-Course Owners. The meeting took place on Tuesday at the Caledonian Club, close to Hyde Park Corner in the heart of London’s Belgravia.

The EGCOA Conference, now into its 5th year, is fast becoming a major event for golfing industry players of all levels, and is a once-a-year opportunity to get up to speed with the latest trends and developments in the European and worldwide golf arena.

The Conference took place at the Royal Horticultural Halls in London.

GBN.com was present throughout the Conference and more reports will appear in the coming week.

The Multi-Course Owners meeting is aimed at owners and operators of three or more golf courses. Many of Europe’s largest golf course owners and operators came together again this year to share ideas and information on market developments and the future of the golf industry.

Lodewijk Klootwijk, Director of the EGCOA said: “The power of this group comes from the sharing of information. In these difficult times, it is essential now more than ever to come together as a unified force and to draw on each other’s experiences. Today’s meeting was both stimulating and heartening. We look forward to welcoming our colleagues once again at our next Multi-Course Owners event in 2011.”
