Mid Ocean Club Bermuda appoints new Director of Golf

PGA Professional from Scotland brings two decades’ global experience to Bermuda’s premier private club.

Mid Ocean Club, Bermuda, has appointed leading PGA Professional Jody Addison as its new Director of Golf.

The internationally recognised club recently announced the restoration of its historic Charles Blair Macdonald designed golf course to be overseen by world-renowned architect Gil Hanse, as well as a major investment in member amenities, including the modernisation of its clubhouse.

Austen Gravestock, General Manager and Chief Executive, said: “Mid Ocean Club is recognized among the finest private golf clubs in the world and the investment projects we are embarking upon are designed to preserve that legacy for generations to come.

Mid Ocean Club’s golf course, the only CB Macdonald design outside the US, ranks 44th in Golf Digest magazine’s World’s 100 Greatest Courses for courses outside America, while the club is positioned among the Top 100 Platinum Clubs of the World.

Addison, a PGA Professional from Scotland, brings two decades’ experience developing five-star member services at top private clubs and five-star resort communities around the world. He grew up playing golf at Montrose and began his professional career at Royal Liverpool and Sunningdale golf clubs.
