Michael Birch has re-joined golf travel specialists Golfbreaks.com, taking on the role of Group Partnership Manager.

Michael spent almost four years with the company as Marketing Manager before joining TaylorMade –adidas Golf in 2011, first as European Retail & Trade Marketing Manager and latterly becoming Digital & Social Marketing Manager.

Michael will be responsible for managing Golfbreaks.com’s wide range of sponsorship and partnership activities.

With existing partners including Sky, Callaway, Volvo, GolfNow, Golf Channel, american golf, European Tour Properties and The PGA, Michael’s wealth of industry experience will have an immediate impact in increasing the effectiveness of the company’s partner network, as well as maximising incremental revenues through sponsorship opportunities.

Keith Mitchell, Marketing Director of Golfbreaks.com, said: “At a time of exciting growth, we’re delighted to welcome Michael back to Golfbreaks.com as Group Partnership Manager. The role is a vital one within the marketing team and the wider business, and one that will have an immediate impact in driving revenues and offering added value to customers, whilst also contributing to the profitability of the Group over the longer term. ”

Michael Birch commented: “I’m very excited to be back at Golfbreaks.com and taking on a role that provides a 360-degree view of our marketing channels. I’m looking forward to helping with the delivery of integrated campaigns that support our partners whilst building relationships with some pedigree brands within the golf and travel industries.”

Michael’s reappointment affirms the continued investment and expansion of Golfbreaks.com. Having booked golf breaks and days for more than 600,000 golfers in 2014, the Windsor-based company goes from strength to strength, with considerable investment being made in its burgeoning USA operation as well as technological advancements in the website and user experience.

This week the company also announced it was sponsoring coverage of both PGA and European Tour golf on Sky Sports, with more exciting partnerships to be unveiled later in the year.
