David Blackwood joins Kubota Tractor & Groundcare Division as sales and marketing manager

Kubota UK has announced the appointment of David Blackwood as sales and marketing manager for its highly successful Tractor & Groundcare Division.

Mr Blackwood brings with him a wealth of experience in the agricultural equipment industry, having spent the last 18 years in various technical and commercial roles for AGCO, formerly Massey Ferguson.

In previous roles he headed the group’s sales and marketing operations in the Far East but will now be operating somewhat closer to home, creating and implementing Kubota Tractor & Groundcare’s sales and marketing strategies in Northern Europe, working with dealers in the UK, Ireland, the Baltic and Scandinavia.

In particular he will be looking to help Kubota establish its higher horsepower tractor ranges.

Mr Blackwood said: “Kubota is a global manufacturer known for its quality and reliability and I am delighted to have joined such a well-respected company. My role will be to continue to drive sales for Kubota’s core groundcare utility and compact equipment range but to also support its move into the higher horsepower tractor market, which is where my experience will be invaluable.”

Mr T Omote, managing director of Kubota (UK) Ltd, said: “David is a high calibre individual and we are delighted to welcome him to Kubota UK. Not only does he have a strong commercial and client focus, he also has an excellent record in both domestic and export account management, product and business development and meeting and exceeding sales targets.”

Kubota is a world leading manufacturer that has been at the forefront of innovation for commercial tractors, groundcare equipment and ride-on mowers since first entering the UK market more than 30 years ago.

The Tractor & Groundcare Division’s product portfolio now encompasses 24 tractor models between 12 and 128hp, 13 ride-on mower models, which cater for domestic and professional users alike and four variants of the class-leading RTV900 all-terrain utility vehicle.

Kubota machines have a legendary reputation for quality, performance, reliability, ease of operation and overall value-for-money. This is backed up by a national network of specialist dealers who provide the highest standards of advice and after sales service.
