Leading Tour Player installs Huxley Golf at home

Scottish European Tour Professional Stephen Gallacher has become the latest star player to have Huxley Golf facilities installed for practice at home.

The former Dunhill Links champion is focusing on his short game with an all-weather Huxley Golf putting green in the garden of his home near Edinburgh. The tournament quality green has been designed to incorporate both straight and borrowed putts to allow a more realistic practice experience.

Stephen said: “I practise on my Huxley putting green when at home and the range of putts I have on my green gives me the confidence to hole out under pressure in tournaments.”

Indoors, Stephen regularly uses his Huxley Rotanet, a portable, yet robust golf practice net which takes up little space and quickly folds away when not in use. The Rotanet copes comfortably with even the most powerful of Stephen’s shots.

The outdoor green will help the 36-year-old continue to perfect his putting while the Rotanet will offer consistent swing practice. Both facilities can be used at any time of year whenever Stephen chooses.

Stephen said: “It takes less than two minutes to get the Rotanet up and running and it’s great to be able to practise at home whenever I want. Huxley Golf products are top quality and are ideal for focusing on both your short game and swing practice.”

Stephen joins a growing list of top Tour Professionals who have Huxley Golf all-weather practice facilities at home including Sir Nick Faldo, Ian Woosnam, Bradley Dredge and Alison Nicholas, the former US Women’s Open champion and current Solheim Cup captain.

Huxley Golf’s all-weather putting and chipping greens offer a high quality, durable surface that is ideal for short game practice. The pure ball roll and speed mirror that of a tournament-quality natural green, but at a fraction of the maintenance requirements or cost.

Huxley Golf can install almost any shape or size of green from 10 sq yards (8.36 sq m) upwards. Greens can incorporate undulations, slopes and fringes and are designed to blend in superbly with the surroundings.

The Huxley Rotanet is widely acknowledged to be the ultimate personal golf practice net. Invented and engineered in Britain, it incorporates a patented spring-assisted fold-away mechanism and many other “easy to use” features. It takes up little space, stows away quickly when not in use, has strong, specially made netting and a double-reinforced UV-stabilised 1.8m wide impact net. The Huxley Rotanet is ideal for both outdoor use or inside, when used with the optional portable frame, and the many hundreds of users include all ages and standards of golfer.
