Luxury Tuscan golf resort Royal Golf La Bagnaia has appointed Scotsman Brodie MacDonald as its new general manager.

Fife-born MacDonald is a graduate of Ohio State University and has worked in a wide range of resorts and markets around the globe, including Chee Chan Golf Resort, Thailand; Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort, Indonesia; Al Badia Golf Club by InterContinental, Dubai; The Belfry, England and the Daufuskie Island Club & Resort in South Carolina, USA.

In his first year in at La Bagnaia, MacDonald is looking to raise the club’s profile and increase its exposure both locally and internationally. “My aim is to utilise IMG’s knowledge, tools, personnel and services to enhance members and guests experience both on and off the golf course,” he said. “I’m sure that we will be able to create a good synergy and develop a close working relationship with the excellent on-site Curio by Hilton Hotel.”

La Bagnaia is part of IMG Prestige, an elite reciprocal programme featuring a network of 130 premier golf properties and partners from across the world which have a close association with IMG.
