Kings of ‘Jock Rock’ at Open Party

8.11am 2nd July 2009 - People

Kings of “Jock Rock” – the Red Hot Chilli Pipers – are making a special guest appearance at the Open Party at Maybole Town Hall on the 15th of July.

The band has been stunning audiences from New York to Bejing with their unique and exciting sound – a fusion of rock music and bagpipes.

Anne Harper of organisers Trinity Partnership said: “We are really lucky to get the band to appear as their diary is packed and their concerts sell out everywhere.”

“In the run up to the party, the Chillis are supporting Rod Stewart, before flying out to Europe for live shows and a date with German television. They then fly back specially for the Open Party.”

The one time winners of the BBC’s prime time show ‘When Will I Be Famous’ are also lined up to play at a private party for Justin Rose at Stoke Park Club and The Gathering 2009 at Holyrood Palace.

Tickets are priced £50 to include fizz, buffet, wine, beer and entertainment.  Contact either pr@jackiewurr.com or annie.harper@btinternet.com
