International sports marketing agency, Professional Sports Group (PSG), is delighted to announce that Jim Bruce-Ball has been appointed as Head of Communications & Content, in a role that will also see him support the team’s dynamic Golf & Tourism Division.

Bruce-Ball joins PSG from the Telegraph Media Group where he was Sports Editor after joining there as a sports reporter from The Guardian in 2001. An Edinburgh University graduate with a Post Graduate diploma in Newspaper Journalism from City University, Bruce-Ball had been Sports Editor at The Telegraph since 2014, having previously held the roles of Deputy Sports Editor and Football Editor. In his role as Sports Editor, he helped successfully grow and develop the Telegraph’s digital sports strategy.

As part of his new role, Bruce-Ball will lend his expertise in particularly the national media to assist with major projects undertaken by the agency’s thriving Golf & Tourism team.

“We’re delighted that Jim has joined PSG as our new Head of Communications & Content and believe it’s a real statement of intent for the whole agency moving forward,” said Andrew Boxer, Head of Golf & Tourism. “Jim’s unrivalled knowledge of the traditional and new media landscape, as well as his valuable understanding of creating and owning great content can only be a massive positive for PSG and its forward-thinking golf clients.”

Jim Bruce-Ball said, “I am thrilled to be joining PSG and embark on a new chapter of my career. As an agency, PSG delivers to a broad range of clients, from athlete representation, to brand consultancy, sports marketing and events, yet manages with its team of experienced professionals to provide an outstanding service to each one. The golf team is a really exciting one, and I look forward to working with an outstanding group that includes several media professionals, social media experts and PGA Professionals to deliver an even better service for our clients.”

PSG’s Golf & Tourism Division delivers complete marketing campaigns and strategies for leading golf brands like Titleist, FootJoy and PowaKaddy; golf courses & tourism destinations such as The Belfry and Las Colinas in Spain; events like The Abu Dhabi Invitational and a host of sponsorship activation programs. Working in over 25 countries throughout Europe, Middle East and Asia, in conjunction with its Abu Dhabi office, PSG has developed its international reputation, becoming one of the world’s most respected golf marketing specialists for brands and destinations.
