Fairways GM – the machinery and service supplier of choice to Scotland’s groundscare industry – has boosted its customer care team with the appointment of former St Andrews Links Trust workshop manager Willie Redpath.

Redpath joins Fairways as Customer Care Supervisor after a stint of over 30 years at the Links Trust and is based at Fairways’ Kinross depot, providing hands on customer care support to Fairways’ servicing and sales teams.

Commenting on the move, Willie Redpath said; “It’s been a privilege to spend such a large part of my career at the St Andrews Links Trust and during that time, I’d got to know the Fairways GM team and the Ransomes Jacobsen brand very well. I wanted new challenges and this was the perfect opportunity to join a business I respected enormously and make a real contribution to the customer care and after sales process.”

Fairways GM has been Scotland’s official Ransomes Jacobsen dealer for over 12 years. Willie Redpath will be working with both the sales and service teams to support the customer care process and build stronger relationships with customers across the country.

Welcoming Willie Redpath on board, Fairways GM General Manager Ray Crawford said; “We place customer service at the very heart of our business and wanted to invest in this role to ensure we deliver the best possible customer care experience. Willie Redpath is highly respected and well known in the industry and it’s a pleasure to welcome him into the Fairways team.”

Fairways GM was established in 2004 and is part of the family owned Fairways Group of companies, which includes Wiedenmann (UK) and Sportsgrounds. With four service depots – Inchinnan, Kinross, Inverness and Aberdeen – a nationwide sales team, a fleet of maintenance vans covering Scotland and a responsive parts service, Fairways is Scotland’s leading groundscare business.
