Angela Jackson, appointed Clubhouse Manager at Rockliffe Hall

Rockcliffe Hall’s fast-growing reputation for attracting the very best talent from all parts of the golf industry has reached another milestone with the appointment of a senior executive from one of Britain’s most exclusive golf clubs to its team.

Angela Jackson has left the Bearwood Lakes complex in Berkshire –voted 65th among the top 100 golf courses in Britain and Ireland- to become Clubhouse Manager at the golfing gem of the North-East that is already being regarded as a potential venue for major tournaments.

Members and guests are in safe hands as Angela brings extensive experience over 25 years covering all aspects of hospitality and catering within golf and in her previous role she was responsible for corporate days and charity events including one attended by Prince Edward and his wife who were patrons of the event.

She takes over at Rockliffe Hall from the award-winning Lucia Fappiano who has been appointed to a wider role in Food and Beverage across the entire resort and says: “I am sure Angela’s experience and expertise will deliver the exacting standards with which the clubhouse has become synonymous”.

A qualified chef, Angela previously served as Catering Manager at Highgate Golf Club in North London and Tiverton Golf Club in Devon before taking overall responsibility at Bearwood Lakes for organising all events within the club including wedding receptions and other public functions.

She says: “I am absolutely thrilled to be working here and thoroughly enjoy each and every day of such a new and exciting challenge. All our guests have high expectations of the level of service and quality of what we offer and I aim to use my experience to help meet these at all times”

“My goal would be to host a major tournament- the Ryder Cup would be the ultimate – but in the meantime the team here at Rockliffe Hall are focused on giving each visitor a memorable experience both on and off the course”

The golf business is something of a family affair for Angela because her husband who previously worked at the London Club in Kent has been appointed Manager of Middlesbrough Golf Club. She has two children and in her off-duty moments enjoys walking, running, cycling, family pursuits—and of course golf.
