YUMAX, one of Europe’s leading bespoke golf sales & marketing agencies, has announced the appointment of James Lovett as its new Creative Director.
Lovett brings with him over 16 years of industry experience having started his career in Television in 1998, working his way up to Associate Producer at Sky Sports over the course of 8 years – producing and directing on multiple Major Championships and Ryder Cup’s. Following the 2006 event at the K Club he made the decision to move into the PR & Communications sector, spending five successful years at Golf Marketing Services (GMS) working on international media campaigns for brands such as PING, ECCO, Marriott.
In 2011, the 36 year-old moved to Professional Sports Group (PSG) in the capacity of Account Manager, servicing product brands, including FootJoy and PowaKaddy. It was at PSG that Lovett established a reputation for creating hugely successful launch campaigns for new destinations and resorts. In particular, playing an integral part in the launch of the Abu Dhabi government’s Golf in Abu Dhabi initiative as well as numerous Troon facilities around the globe.
At PSG, Lovett progressed quickly within the company to the position of Account Director and was responsible for managing multiple key accounts within the company portfolio.
On commencing his new role with immediate effect Lovett said, “I am excited about the opportunity my new position presents as I move into the next stage of my career. I look forward to working closely with the iconic brands under the Yumax portfolio, playing an integral role in activating their 2016 marketing strategies.”

Amongst Lovett’s priorities in his new role will be to continue to deliver the high-class service that YUMAX has established a reputation for delivering for its longstanding clients as well as introducing and evolving new strategies and services. His expert knowledge of golf hardware and footwear marketing as well as international destination PR will add a new dynamic to YUMAX as the company moves in an exciting new direction over the coming months. He will also be responsible for all media related enquiries with immediate effect.
