English players secured more victories and won more money on the 2006 PGA European Tour Order of Merit than the players from any other country.
Ten events were won by players from England, compared to nine by Swedish players and eight by players from the USA.
A total of €24,579,295 was won by English players on the 2006 PGA European Tour, more than double the amount won by all the players from second placed Sweden, who won a combined €10,766,019.
These two countries also supplied 7 of the top 10 players on the 2006 Order of Merit, including four Englishmen – Paul Casey, David Howell, Luke Donald and Ian Poulter.
