Ely Callaway, who resigned as president and chief executive officer of Callaway Golf in May of this year, died in California on 5th July aged 82

Ely Callaway died at his home in California on 5th July aged 82. He resigned as president and chief executive officer of Callaway Golf in May of this year. A few weeks earlier he had been found to have cancer.

Ely Reeves Callaway (the ERC driver bears his initials) was born in Georgia on 3rd June 1919.
