Gerard Kelly has been appointed Sales and Marketing Manager at Carr Golf, with responsibility for Castleknock and Charlesland Golf Clubs, following three years in the Commercial and Marketing Department with the Football Association of Ireland (FAI).

A former Elite Golf Scholar at UCD, Kelly has played with his local, County Louth Golf Club (Baltray) since the age of 14. He went on to play domestic and international tournament level golf, and won the Silver Medal in the North of Ireland in 2010.

In his new role, Kelly will implement world-class sales, marketing and communications strategies for Castleknock and Charlesland Golf Clubs, developed with the expertise of Carr Golf. The focus will be corporate relationships and growth within both clubs, engaging local communities, corporates and societies, while also elevating the environment within the club, enhancing the member and guest experience. Gerard will be working closely with the Golf Operations and Food & Beverage teams in both venues to deliver on all plans.

During his tenure with the FAI, Kelly looked after team logistics across the underage teams and managed key customer relationships with FAI Club Ireland Customers as part of the Commercial team.

Kelly began his career in 2011 developing a Sports Academy with Integral Fitness & Leisure in Drogheda, while also working as Head of Strength & Conditioning with Drogheda United Football Club. Kelly holds an undergrad in Sports Management and a Masters in Sports Management from UCD. In 2015 he completed a Diploma in Football Management with UEFA from the University of Lausanne. In his spare time, he enjoys playing 18 holes in Baltray and coaching the first team with Drogheda United Football Club.
