European Tour caddy and professional golfer Louis Boston is ready to share his vast knowledge of the game with members of The Manor House Hotel & Golf Club as he looks to make his mark at the Wiltshire venue.

The 32-year-old makes the move to the 18-hole club in Castle Combe from his role at nearby Chippenham Golf Club, and is looking to build on the Manor House’s reputation for high-quality coaching.

Boston was a junior member at The Manor House in the early days of his golf career, starting the game at aged 15, where he already showed glimpses of a bright future with a call-up to the Somerset first team.

His talent lead to him turning pro in 2012 and since then has has competed on the Jamega, Europro, Asian Development and TP tours, as well as several regional and national PGA events, with a prominent win on the TP Tour and numerous wins on the west region circuit.

Alongside his competitive schedule, Boston has recently branched out to caddying on the European Tour to learn from the very best, which has helped him develop as a player and a coach.

The PGA-qualified coach is hoping that his experience caddying and playing at a high level, combined with his work ethic to learn modern coaching techniques, will stand him in good stead for the new role, which will see him run individual and group lessons at The Manor House for players of all ages and abilities.

Boston said: “I am delighted to be back at The Manor House, where I was a junior member back in the day, hoping to bring back the expertise that I have gained over the years to get the best out of the golfers who play here. I’m hoping that my experiences have made me a more informed, well-rounded coach that will benefit both beginners and more experienced players.

“I feel privileged to be able to work at one of the best courses in the UK, there really aren’t many courses with the picturesque scenery of the Cotswolds! But not only is it beautiful, it’s testing, which is great for me as a coach, because it gives me a very good understanding of where my clients are at.”
