Bernhard and Company announces that Iqtidar Hassan has joined the team this month as the new Group Financial Controller.
As well as being qualified in Finance and Accountancy, Iqtidar brings experience of commercial distribution, HR, IT and management information reporting. With an MBA in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration in Pakistan and an MA in HR from Keele University in 2004, Iqtidar is also an ACCA qualified accountant.
“Before joining Bernhard and Company I had worked for the past 7 years for the French flooring manufacturer, Gerflor, as Senior Management Accountant looking after their UK and Republic of Ireland business, which was around 20 Million Euros.
“I am delighted to join Bernhard and look forward to the challenge of working in a smaller company with all the hands-on benefits that that brings. I will be in direct contact with the decision makers and so my input will be greater than just facts and figures. Bernhard is a small enough company to know everyone and its incredibly friendly too. I am really looking forward to being part of such an inclusive and passionate team. ”
Iqtidar and his wife Shahana, a schoolteacher and nursery nurse have two daughters, Zara (aged 8) and Zoya (aged 3) and the family lives in Coventry.
