Ian Robson joins AFT Trenchers as Operations Manager

Ian Robson, well known within the sports turf and golf industry, joins AFT Trenchers, Sudbury, Suffolk, bringing 15 years’ experience in production management.

Previously Ian was in charge of Hunters Grinders Ltd continuing in this position when the company became part of Lloyds of Letchworth in 2010.

AFT Trenchers Ltd manufactures trenching and drainage equipment and is renowned worldwide for the AFT Sandbander, AFT 45 trencher, Wizz Wheel 75 and AFT 100 trenchers for Agriculture. The company has also recently introduced the new AFT Rope Sandbander delivering a unique method of secondary drainage for golf courses.

Ian will be Operations Manager at AFT Trenchers, overseeing production of the AFT Trenchers product range within the agricultural, sportsturf and civil engineering trenching arenas.

He joins a company that prides itself on the quality of its machines, the quick and reliable supply of spares and unequalled service delivered to its many customers for over 40 years.

Speaking about the new appointment Managing Director, Harry Jurgens, was keen to point out the qualities and experience that Ian will bring to the company.

“He brings a wealth of industry and engineering experience which will be put to great use here at AFT Trenchers.  This is particularly important in light of the expansion we are planning this coming year.”
