Experienced golf pro David Kent has joined the MY Golf Academy team with the aim of further developing the junior membership programme. David and the MY Golf Academy team will be encouraging more young people to make the move from dabbling with golf to becoming fully-fledged junior members.

It’s a role that David relishes commenting “There’s a lot more to golf than a bucket of range balls and a range matt but sadly playing on the range is as far as many young people get to when it comes to golf. It’s our job to inspire a junior member by showing them that being a talented and enthusiastic golfer is well within their reach. And of course that they are on the cusp of what will be an enjoyable, and hopefully life long journey with this incredible sport. When a junior joins one of our parent clubs as a member they will benefit from our expertise with ongoing coaching and guidance.”

Mike Yorke, Founder of MY Golf Academy said: “David is a perfect fit for our brand. It has been a long held ambition of mine to encourage more young people to enjoy the game of golf. Golf equips young people with a myriad of personal and social skills building confidence, self-esteem and shaping them into honest, articulate and accomplished adults. I am delighted that David will be flying the flag for our junior membership programme across the region.”
