Wolsey Launches Limited Edition Wedges Engineered By Vega

9.52am 20th March 2014 - New Products

Wolsey WedgeModern British heritage brand Wolsey has collaborated with Japanese master craftsmen Vega to create a limited edition family of wedges that will complement the soon to be launched Sportsman AW14 golf collection.

When joining forces with Vega, Wolsey envisioned producing a range of high quality hand crafted clubs with a minimalistic look and exceptional playability. The result is a classic, elegant design that is hand ground and forged with techniques adapted from centuries old Samurai sword-making skills passed down through generations of the Vega family.

Featuring Vega’s angular classic grind sole, the wedges deliver enhanced shot-making consistency and tour-level feel with pressed V Grooves that maximise spin and offer long-life groove performance. Each wedge is a one-piece hand forged club crafted from S25C carbon steel and finished in Black Raw that will rust over time. This is a naturally occurring process that gives golfers increased spin and takes away glare at address.

“The wedges we have produced with Vega are minimalistic but have exceptional performance, which is Wolsey’ brand ethos.  Our signature Wolsey red Fox logo sits well with the clean, Black Raw finish and the quality and craftsmanship are evident for all to see,” said Louis Wolcott, brand director, Wolsey.

Wolsey Limited Edition wedges are available in 52, 56, and 60 degrees and will retail at £180 each. They will be available exclusively on wolsey.com, TrendyGolf.com from May and leading golf resorts and speciality stores from 14 July.
