TaylorMade reports strong sales of new metalwoods range

10.01am 11th April 2019 - New Products

Strong sales in all the major European markets means more golfers have chosen TaylorMade metalwoods than any other brand in the region according to recent figures released by independent market analysts GolfDatatech.

The launch of the M5 and M6 drivers, and accompanying fairways and hybrids, saw TaylorMade take the No.1 position in the UK and France, while high sell-through in Germany and Sweden indicate that the brand is building momentum across Europe.

The M5 and M6 drivers are currently played by seven of the top 14 players in the world, capturing six wins to date.

Since the retail launch TaylorMade has delivered re-orders on the new M metalwoods and irons on an average of less than four days for custom products and less than two days for standard product. The opening of a brand new 90,000 square-foot warehouse, in conjunction with their Basingstoke operations, has also led to more stock availability across the product range.

David Silvers, VP/Managing Director for TaylorMade in Europe believes that a big improvement in service levels is a key factor in the fast start. He said: “The product is fantastic, but it is just as important that we deliver everything on time and in full for the launch. We have invested heavily in processes, people and technology to ensure we meet our customers’ delivery expectations. I am delighted to say we have done exactly that this year and our retailer partners have repaid that faith by getting behind the product from day one. Our marketing machine will go into overdrive as the major season kicks off at Augusta this week.”
