ProQuip, the world’s leading innovator of lightweight golf weatherwear and Preferred Supplier to the European Ryder Cup Team 2010, has produced a new high quality water repellent lambswool garment that is as easy to wash and dry as it is to swing in.

The new knitwear range, which utilises a special water repellent finish that results in light rain beading off the surface, is believed to be the first to be manufactured using 100% premium quality British lambswool that is also total easy care.

The 2/17Nm lambswool (New metric – two pieces of fine quality yarn twisted together) produces a premium handle garment that is highly durable with minimal piling. Its total easy care performance means it is machine washable and tumble dryer friendly. In fact, tumble drying and a warm press after washing positively enhances the garment’s water repellency.

“While water repellent lambswool garments have previously been available for a variety of outdoor sports and pursuits, this is the first time such a high quality yarn and knit has been produced with total easy care,” said Richard Head, ProQuip Managing Director.

“You can conveniently machine wash and tumble dry this garment safe in the knowledge that it will come out looking and feeling as good as new – it will also continue to perform and resist rain showers, keeping you dry and comfortable.”

The new knitwear range is available in crew-neck, vee-neck and slipover styles in nine colours: Black, Bordeaux, Tartan Green, Mushroom, Navy, Sky Blue, Grey Mix, Lilac and Raspberry.

Size are S-XXL, with a suggested retail price of: £49 (crew-neck); £49 (vee-neck); £46 (slipover).

ProQuip’s unrivalled service to golf retailers includes a full club cresting facility.
