Golfers across the UK can revolutionise their game thanks to a mobile App backed by The Professional Golfers’ Association.
Scores are predicted to come tumbling down as golfers of all standards embrace the improved player version of the PGA Swing guru App.
Following the successful launch of the coach’s App for the legions of highly-skilled PGA Professionals, this all-encompassing player version ignites the relationship between coaches and their players, embracing one of the key partnerships in golf.
The App, designed in conjunction with The PGA, comes fully-loaded with features that work for any standard of golfer from elite players to club golfers.
Among its features are a skills zone, golf challenges, a personal locker room, find your PGA Pro and a news feed. In addition, PGA pros can access information input by their students – to customise lessons enabling them to maximise and focus tuition.
Complementing the App is a dedicated website and a whole range of social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
The App, which was in development for more than a year to ensure it is at the forefront of golf coaching and communication, has proved incredibly popular among PGA Professionals.
Mike Taylor, one of the co-creators of the App, said: “It has been really exciting tapping into the knowledge of The PGA and their members and to see Swing guru go from concept to launch.
“The PGA has embraced the App’s philosophy of every golfer having real improvement potential supported by great coaching, underpinned by state-of-the-art smartphone technology.”
Kyle Phillpots, PGA joint chief operating officer and director of education and career development, said: “Following the successful launch of the PGA Swing guru App for PGA Professionals, we welcome this improved player version and are confident golfers across Great Britain and Ireland will find it improves their game.
“This App fully reflects the expertise of The PGA and PGA Professionals and will enhance the relationship between the latter and the player.
“The two-way connection between player and coach via the skills and challenges will enable the pro to better understand the areas of the game that their students need improving. It adds meaning to practice and provides statistics to see what progress is made, which benefits both the player and the pro.”
The App is now available to purchase in the iTunes store with an android version in development.
