FootJoy has capitalised on an incredible 2014 for its cutting-edge D.N.A.™ (DryJoys Next Advancement) footwear by completing the category with a women’s model and a junior-inspired D.N.A. for 2015.
Offering the most comprehensive feature package ever delivered by FJ, female golfers can now benefit from the outstanding performance of D.N.A., undoubtedly the biggest footwear success story over the past 12 months. Two styles will be available from January 2015 for the lady golfer: White/Black and White/Silver BOA.
Golf’s next generation, meanwhile, will be able to emulate FJ Ambassadors, such as Adam Scott and Webb Simpson, with a stylish D.N.A.-inspired junior model.
In the men’s line, FJ has incorporated three new colourways in addition to last year’s most popular styles. Black/Red, White/Orange and White/Ocean Blue styles join the Black/Black, White/Blue, White/Grey Boa and White/White carrying over from last year’s line.
Worn to victory in the Crowne Plaza Invitational by world #2 Adam Scott, D.N.A. is the most technologically-advanced shoe FJ has ever created. The brand’s team of engineers scrutinised each aspect of FJ’s premium footwear products to deliver a shoe with lightweight stability, a custom-like fit and superior feel.
Delighted to introduce an extended D.N.A. family, FJ Marketing Manager Russell Lawes said: “D.N.A was undoubtedly one of our most successful launches of all time, striking a chord with golfer and retailers worldwide and within the media.
“We received many enquiries from female golfers keen for us to introduce a women’s D.N.A. and I am delighted to say we are now in the position to do so, allowing them to benefit from the same range of performance characteristics that the shoe has become famous for.
“We also take a great interest in inspiring future generations of golfers and think that we will spark the imaginations of many young golfers with the release of our D.N.A.-inspired junior shoe, allowing them to play the in a very similar style of shoe, in terms of appearance, as some of the game’s star players.”
Features And Benefits
The 3D FoamCollar™ for COMFORT
The 3D FoamCollar moulds to your ankle for ideal comfort, fit and support. Locking your ankle in place eliminates any movement of the foot – a situation that can lead to discomfort and power-reduction during the swing.
SnugFit Tongue for FIT
The SnugFit tongue is engineered utilising thin, soft, and breathable materials – including MicroVent™ technology- in order to properly conform to the top of your foot providing superb fit and an incredibly comfortable in-shoe environment.
NitroThin™ TPU Outsole for STABILITY
The all-new NitroThin TPU outsole has been in development for several years, undergoing numerous rounds of testing and technical modifications. The result is a super thin-yet-strong chassis that frames the soft, FTF internal midsole, delivering the perfect combination of rigidity and flexibility for maximum on-course performance.
Xtra-Thick FTF™ FitBed® for CUSHIONING
In order to achieve the sleek, low-profile look of D.N.A. , the midsole was moved inside the shoe. FTF™ (Fine-Tuned Foam), a new proprietary cushioning material, is used throughout the interior midsole, also known as the FitBed. In order to achieve in-shoe stability, as well as premium cushioning, two densities of FTF were utilised – a firmer density for stability around the perimeter of the FitBed and a softer density in the heel and forefoot providing industry-leading in-shoe comfort.
ChromoSkin™ Leather System by Pittards®
Finally, D.N.A. DryJoys Next Advancement features the all-new ChromoSkin Leather System by Pittards of England, one of the premiere suppliers of high performance leather in the world. This unique full grain leather system is supple, lightweight, thin-yet-durable and completely waterproof.
