Marks & Spencer to Launch Golfwear Collection by Ernie Els

12.01am 24th February 2011 - New Products

Agency reports state that Marks & Spencer is expected to launch an exclusive collection of golfwear designed by Ernie Els. There will be up to eight pieces in the collection which is described as being “smart, stylish and practical”.

The collection includes Ernie Els polo shirt, with RSP £28, Ernie Els jumper, £35 and Ernie Els chinos, £35.

Ernie Els is quoted as saying: “When I am playing, I need my clothes not only to look good but to work hard for me on the course so that I can focus on my game. I have worked closely with M&S to design this range so that the garments do just that.

“Fabrics are high performance, cuts are close fitting but allow for movement when I am playing and there are innovative features throughout the collection such as trouser pockets with a silicone sticky tape edge which means that my golf glove stays safely in my pocket.”

Marks & Spencer, which in total has more than 600 stores in the UK as well 300 more spread across the world in 40 different territories has sold gold clothing for several years, most recently under its popular ‘Blue Harbour’ label.
